Timothy & Jessica
We are so grateful you are taking the time to learn about us. We have always dreamed about having a family; sharing our traditions, traveling, spending time together and making everyday moments special. We are excited to share that with a child. We deeply admire the strength and courage it takes to consider adoption and are thankful for the opportunity to share a little about us.
Our Favorite Vacation Spot

We love all things beach, our favorite vacation spots are usually beach related. We strive to do at least 1-2 beach vacations per year. We prefer the Gulf side of Florida, the warm water and white sandy beaches are our dream! Most often it is just the two of us but we have had many trips where friends and families have been there. The relaxing atmosphere and listening to the waves along with the sunshine allows us to relax and reset.

We have tried other beach locations, island locations but Florida keeps bringing us back year after year. We typically rent a boat one day and explore the bay areas around our vacation destination. We enjoy being in and around the water, toes in the sand and enjoying sunsets on the beach. We like to find local places to eat and enjoy each others company.
These trips give us a chance to slow down and make lasting memories.
Our Leisure Time

Some of our favorite moments are the simple, everyday ones we spend together at home. While we enjoy traveling and trying new things, we’re the happiest when surrounded by family or relaxing in our own backyard. Tim loves being outside, especially grilling for family and friends or spending time working in the yard. He also spends time with his fire family and working at other peoples homes working on projects. Jess enjoys spending time in the kitchen trying new recipes, perfecting the old ones or reading a good book. Jess was taught to cook as a child by her parents and look forward to passing this tradition/skill to the next generation.
We routinely go to local events, often with our families and enjoy being together. Summer is filled with pool days, BBQ and lake time while the fall and winter is filled with fires, comforting foods and festivals. We have spent a lot of time making our yard our favorite place to be.
What it Means to be Parents
Being a parent isn’t defined by biology- it’s about love, commitment and showing up every single day. To us, being a parent means creating a safe place where a child feels unconditionally loved, accepted and celebrated for who they are.
It means being there for the big milestones and all the little moments in between: bedtime stories, scraped knees, school concerts, family traditions and quiet conversations after a hard day. Being a parent means teaching kindness, encouraging curiosity and helping a child discover their strengths. Being a parent is about putting a child’s needs before our own, cheering heir success and comforting them through disappointment.
Life isn’t perfect, it’s about leading a child through experiences and knowing their safe spot is always home. Family is built through love, our greatest hope is to provide a home filled with warmth, encouragement and joy.
To us, being a parent is the greatest privilege and most important job and we are ready to embrace every challenge, celebration and ordinary moment that comes with rising a child.

Our Extended Families

We recently went to a family members 70th birthday party at our local baseball stadium. Both of our families live in the area and we each have two siblings who all have children. We know this child will have plenty of family to love and support them! Common traditions in our family include monthly lunches at a family members home, we do annual family trips to a local lake, birthday parties, sleepovers at grandparents, and we tend to have traditions around the holidays. We do spend a lot of time with our families and love to do activities around our area local attractions. We often have four generations at some events which is a pretty special moment for everyone. We tend to make small days like St. Patrick’s Day a tradition, we always go to the parade and spend the day together celebrating the Irish tradition.

Our family is extremely loving and supportive in our adoption journey and will welcome this child into their loving arms and we can’t wait to share all our great and small traditions with a child.
Our House and Neighborhood

We currently reside in the suburbs of St. Louis, Missouri and St. Louis loves to have family friendly events whether that is a fair, local school or church picnic, and events celebrating the diverse culture such as our annual Greek Festival or Maifest. We live in a a subdivision that is single story brick ranch homes that is quiet and we have a lot of families with children in the area. Our house has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and are currently working on finishing our basement to make that living space useable. Our favorite part of our house is the backyard, we have a large backyard and are fortunate enough to have neighbor with a pool so we are there often during the summer months. We are a local park less than a mile away and are within walking distance of a biking/walking trail called Grants Trail. We also have a nearby family attraction called Grants Farm that has animals for a petting zoo, stables and carousel. We love the area we live in, we have called this area home for 16 years.

From Us to You

First, thank you for taking time to read our letter and learn about us. We know that considering an adoption plan is an incredibly personal and emotional decision. We can’t begin to know what you are feeling but want you to know that we have so much respect for your strength, courage and love.
Our names are Tim and Jessica, and we have dreamed of becoming parents for a long time. We have struggled with infertility and adopting a child is a way to share our love and life with a child. If you choose us, we promise to provide a home filled with unconditional love, laughter, encouragement and security.
We have been together as a couple for 16 years and married for 10 years. Our path to becoming parents has not been one that we imagined. We experienced infertility, and while that journey brought heartache, uncertainty and many difficulty moments, it also taught us patience, resilience and the depth of our desire to become parents.
There was a time when we mourned the family we thought we would have. We have worked through grief and mixed emotions but we discovered how strong our bond is together. We discovered that we want to just be able to share / welcome a child into our lives. Choosing adoption is not a second choice for us, it’s a path we have embraced with hope and gratitude.
Family means everything to us. We look forward to celebrating birthdays, holidays and everyday moments together- reading bedtime stories, cheering from the sidelines at games or performances, exploring new places and creating traditions that will become lifelong memories. More than anything, we want your child to always know they are deeply loved, supported and accepted for exactly who they are. We are very blessed in our lives and hope for the moment that we are able to share our lives with a child.
We also believe that your child’s story begins with you. We will always speak of you with love and respect, and we will make sure your child knows the incredible courage and selflessness that went into your decision. We want them to grow up understanding how they have always been loved. We will send letters and pictures to you and open to other forms of communication like texts or emails. We want you to be comfortable with the communication type and know that life changes and being adaptable to situations that may alter communication types.
We know that choosing an adoptive family is one of the most important decisions you will ever make. We can promise your child’s story begins a lifetime of love, stability, guidance and unwavering support. We will encourage your child to follow their dreams, celebrate their unique qualities and always remind them of how special they are.
Thank you for considering us to be part of your child’s story. Whatever you decide, we wish you peace, strength and support. We are grateful for the opportunity to introduce ourselves.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Timothy & Jessica
